Portrait

I'm Milan Fort – software engineer based in Berlin, Germany.

I've been building software for nearly two decades, with experience spanning SaaS, fintech, telecom, e-commerce, and marketing technology. I enjoy working across the stack, from designing robust distributed backend systems to developing highly interactive frontend applications. My work also involves operating these systems in production at scale, with a focus on reliability, observability, and automation.

My main professional interests include domain-driven design, microservices architectures, modern web development, serverless computing, and data analysis. I tend to favor approaches that emphasize simplicity, testability, and long-term maintainability.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia, and a Master's degree in Software Systems Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. Beyond formal education, I've stayed committed to continuous learning through online courses, side projects, and ongoing exploration of new tools and technologies.

Outside of work, I like playing chess and stay active through swimming, gym training, and cycling. And I'm always open to a good conversation — feel free to reach out and get in touch.
